Senior Minister

Bro. Malone has been preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ for approximately 50 yrs. He has labored as the senior minister of the Southside Church of Christ for over thirty years. He is known for his powerful preaching and unwavering stand on the word of God. Through his sound preaching, many souls have been added to the church and many congregations have been strengthened.

Brother Malone is also the example of a godly father bringing their children up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. He is the father of 5 spiritually active and dedicated children. His eldest son John works faithfully by his side as his assistant minister, Brother Bryant is an inspiring minister of music, Brother Jerome is a highly effective youth minister, and sister Tee is an innovative children’s Sunday school teacher. We are thankful to Brother Malone for the godly dedication instilled his children.

Bro. John Malone, Sr.

Assistant Minister

Bro. John Malone Sr. is the associate minister of the Southside Church of Christ in Rogersville, Alabama. He has faithful served in this capacity for over 20 yrs. He also serves as the adult Sunday School Teacher, as well as, the superintendent of education.

Over the years, Bro. Malone has served on several lectureships, and has held many gospel and youth meetings. Through his sound preaching of the gospel, many lives have been changed and souls converted to Christ.

January 6th 2011, Bro. Malone will be married to the lovely and beautiful Virginia Malone for 21 years. Together they are blessed with 3 beautiful children, John (pooh) Jr., Jasmin, and Janae. All three are faithful workers in the kingdom of the Lord in their own right.

Bro. Malone holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Behavioral Science which is useful in the ministry of individual and family council. Bro. Malone is also noted for his gifts in music. He is director and one of the original members of the renowned Southside Singers. He is also a CAMA award recipient for Song Writer of the Year. He has blessed the brotherhood with songs such as: That’s What He’s Done For Me, Jesus Is More, I’m Going Home, The Shepherd, Step By Step, Yea, Yea, Yea and more.
